It has been a couple of weeks since our move, and there are still boxes in every room. It was an absolutely brutal day. We are grateful to the everyone who helped us, but abundantly grateful to our 3 boys and our oldest son’s girlfriend for going above and beyond. They worked their butts off all day long (the youngest 2 for more than 24hours). They kept pushing and tackled everything they were asked to, even when Mom asked them to move the heaviest piece of furniture we have all the way to the basement. What is even more amazing is they came back the next day to help with the final cleanup of the old house.
As much as my kids can push my buttons, and do regularly, we truly have raised 3 amazing humans. THANK YOU MY SWEET BOYS!
So, how do you look at a move? Is it just a crappy time in your life, of hard work and struggle? Or, do you see it as an opportunity? A fresh start. A new Beginning. The Next Chapter.
Making this move was not our choice. It brought with it frustration, depression and anxiety. Needing to find a new home, come up with all necessary funds, pack, arrange for all the utilities, address changes, keep doing all of your normal work and responsibilities and not to mention the actual move can all be so overwhelming. There were days where I would just spend some time crying. However, in my heart I believe that God does truly have a plan for our lives and even though I don’t understand it and many times don’t enjoy parts of the journey, I know HE has us.
I choose to believe that this move is God letting us know that our old house was not where we are meant to be. It was a stepping stone along our path, but now it is time to move on to the next step, the next chapter. It is time to start a new adventure.
So, we will continue to unpack, one box at a time and get this place looking more like home. We will do our best to look after it, and use this space that we have been blessed with to the best of our ability. We will get back to living life, start new projects, make new memories, and embrace this new beginning.
I hope that you will embrace whatever the next step is on your journey and that together we might continue to See the Abundance.
